When my wife and daughter were looking at puppies at the Humane Society, they said that Lily was a purple puppy; it turned out to be true. She was a sweet companion for fifteen years. Lily easily got along with all sorts of other dogs and cats. Even if she was mild tempered, she was quite social and known to visit the houses in the neighborhood to see if any of her doggy friends could come out and play. We regularly got calls saying that Lily was over at their house playing in case we were wondering where she was. Lily was a great hiking and walking companion – whether visiting the tops of mountains here in Colorado or enjoying the trails around town. We will remember her fondly and miss her dearly.
